QANDIL Secretary General from Sweden Visits Iraq

QANDIL’s Secretary General Mr. Daniel visited Iraq on 12 April, 2018. During his brief stay in Iraq, Mr. Daniel held a number of meetings with QANDIL’s Swedish INGO management team to discuss the currently executed projects and the available opportunities for growth.

His agenda also included visits to Erbil, Duhok and Sulaymania field offices to meet QANDIL’s officials and witness the various implemented projects.

In Darashkran Camp, The Secretary General had the opportunity to visit the Social and vocational training centers which are a project that is implemented by QANDIL in partnership with GIZ. The centers aim to empower the individuals to find better livelihood opportunities through offering a range of courses. Thus far, 461 participants have graduated from the vocational training center and 307 participants from the social center.

While in Iraq, the Secretary General also took part in the award ceremony of the graduates of one of the several courses offered by QANDIL in Duhok.
